Everyday, I think a lot of curvy girls think about how to be skinny. Whether you in love with the way clothes appear, how society reacts, or just the physical make-up. Well I ditch the skinny thoughts years ago. My thoughts now are healthy thoughts, ensuring I eat and exercise enough to stay healthy internally.
I want to share something with you. Whether you male or female, if you feel skinny is better you are a step away from self-bullying. Don’t focus on your flaws, but focus on your gifts.
Ditch those skinny thoughts!
Today, many of us position beauty as the size of a person, then the looks. If you see someone overweight, people assume they are unhealthy. Or if you see someone underweight, its possibly cute or stated as “really thin”. Looking at these two images “WHICH PERSON IS MORE HEALTHY”? It is safe to assume some people are to thin and damn near fragile. And others are overweight and just need to lose weight. Who determines this? If you plus size, are you overweight? Or, if you weigh 90 lbs at 5’9 in your adult life are you underweight?
If a skinny called a plus size women “FAT”, do you think its more offensive? Or if a plus size women called a skinny “FRAGILE” its more acceptable?
People, I am not here to stating one body is healthier than the other. I just want to raise the question to ask you and give us ALL something to think about.
I love these Fall looks from Tom Ford and Donna Karan. Now I have to admit, I am a little envious of the skinny’s right now. Although, Tom Ford and Donna Karen is exploring plus size, will the same looks be available for the “GlamCurvy” divas. I guess we have to wait and see! Or start bugging them ASAP to make these looks available this fall for us curvier divas.

Eerie day working in Atlanta, GA and receiving news that the US was under terrorist attack. I start thinking about my family/friends in New York and Virginia. Also, wondering who in there right mind would fly planes into a building. As time went on, my heart start filling up with anger, disappointment, fear, and remorse for those whose family/friends lives were lost or never found. The 9/11 images, live footage, and stories I saw from that day was surreal and stuck with me until today.
I remember …Race, gender, religion, or creed was not an issue. JUST LIFE. That day would never be forgotten!
While celebrating Labor Day, I start thinking about my fall wardrobe and which looks I want to incorporate. Then I came across this collection. Hands down I was sold. I love these looks.
Check out ForMe Elena Mirò FW 2013/14. The plus size market will never be the same.
Okay GlamCurvy Divas, my name is “GlamCurvy T” and I have a “Handbag” addiction. Recently, I came across some handbags where the cost could be someone’s salary. Now if you have it to give, then have at it.
Honestly, even if I had the money the price is still not feasible for me to pay.
Check out some of our everyday brands with a price tag of $10K or higher. Now the Coach Bag, I was stunned.
Coach Legacy Crocodile Tote – $10,000
Louis Vuitton tribute Patchwork Bag – $42,000
Hermes Birkin $64,800
Hi GlamCurvy Divas – This quote is so inspirational. I had to send this out to my GlamCurvy Queens. Here is your crown!
